When a traditional tap is turned on with the lever pointing straight forward, both the hot and cold water flows are activated. But the hot water seldom makes it out of the tap. It stops half-way – and goes completely unutilised.
With cold start, only the cold water flow is activated when the tap is turned on with the lever pointing straight forward. This cuts your hot water consumption by up to 30 percent. Your comfort remains the same; the hot water starts flowing as quickly as with an ordinary tap.
