The water heats up as quickly as with an ordinary tap, but you can cut your hot water consumption by up to 30 percent without noticing any difference. FMMattsson’s eco-friendly 9000E mixers have Cold Start as standard.
When a traditional tap is turned on with the lever pointing straight forward, both the hot and cold water flows are activated. But the hot water seldom makes it out of the tap. It stops half-way – and goes completely unutilised.
A small button that makes a big difference
Eco Plus also became standard in all 9000E safety mixers. Eco Plus-marked mixers are equipped with a flow limiter device consisting of a button on the mixer knob that must be overridden to turn the tap to full flow. This saves more water, since the user must actively override the button to turn the water on full.
When you turn on the tap with the lever facing straight forwards, it only supplies cold water – not a mixture of hot and cold as with traditional taps. This means that you save hot water without compromising on comfort.
With ECO Plus you will have to make an active choice for an increased water flow. Mixers in the 9000E series have an ECO Plus function on the on/off handle on the thermostatic mixer, and on the single lever mixer, the lever must be held passed a resistance for full water flow. This gives additional water-savings as the user must make an active choice for full flow.

The soft closing function slightly delays the closure of the tap. This prevents pressure shocks and impact in the pipes, increasing the life of both taps and pipes in the long term.
Eco Flow is FM Mattsson’s simple, smart solution for saving even more water. Eco Flow is a flow controller that regulates the flow of water in single lever mixers and showers. The mixer functions in the normal fashion but is limited to 6 l/min for washbasin mixers and 9 l/min for kitchen sink mixers at a pressure of 3 bar. A simple way of saving water, energy and money.
